Day 362: Illinois State University (Theatre of Ted Scholarship)
I have a bucket list of dreams and aspirations as I am closing in on crossing “giving to charity everyday for a year” off my bucket list :) I thought I would take this opportunity to mention another dream of mine, I have always wanted to have my own scholarship to provide students the opportunity to obtain an education. I think this desire stems from my own experience. I attended Illinois State University and I went after every grant and scholarship I could to be able to stay in school. My goal is to one day have a scholarship funds established at ISU and my high school De La Salle Institute to provide a student pursuing theater or art degrees a little relief from paying tuition. Until that day comes and it will, Day 362 is going to the Theatre of Ted Student Scholarship Fund! They had a foursquare marathon last week to raise money for the fund that provides scholarships to ISU theatre students and I wanted to show them my support!
Theatre of Ted is a Registered Student Organization that provides a variety of uncensored performance opportunities for Illinois State University students. They also organize the annual Four-Square Marathon for Student Scholarships. You can support some of the top theatre talent that has given Illinois State such a strong theatre reputation, and help those talented students continue their education and production work.
