Day 305: ThinkCure!

I’m very excited from my benefit party on Saturday, so far we’ve raised over $700 for LiveSTRONG on Crowdrise! I’m hoping to hit the $2,000 goal with the money raised at my birthday benefit or at least get pretty close! In keeping with supporting cancer research, today’s give to LA’s ThinkCure! a community organization raising money to provide seed grants to cancer researchers with the goal of finding a cure. 

ThinkCure! advances cures for cancers by funding cutting edge cancer research through seed grants. ThinkCure! is part of the Los Angeles community and want to make life better by ending a disease that touches everyone.

So here’s how they decided to try to make a difference: The raise the money, and then they turn it over to the researchers to work collaboratively to find important discoveries and cures. The researchers are based at City of Hope in Duarte and Childrens Hospital in Los Angeles. That means Los Angeles-area cancer researchers will be setting an example for medical advancement through true teamwork.
